FAQI have repeatedly been asked the following questions, so I thought I would address them here for everyone. If you have another question, please ask on the tagboard and I will get back to you.
>> What program do your brushes work in?
The only program I know for sure that they work in is Photoshop 7.0, which is the program I use.
>> I want to use your brushes but I don't have PS 7.0. How come you don't have image packs?
I made the brushes for my own use, so I had no need at the time. When I decided to share I put up what I had. There is a possibility down the road that I will put up image packs, but it isn't a priority right now in my life. Sorry.
>> How do you use your brush sets in PS 7.0?
After you download the set you will need to unzip it on your computer
Open Photoshop
Click on the brush tool
On the brush tool bar at the top of the screen click the black down arrow
On the right of the pull down menu click the small blue-ish arrow
On that menu click 'load brushes'
Find the file you unzipped and click load
>> Why don't your textures work? I used one for my blog, journal, site...and it has been replaced with a "you suck" banner?
That means that you have hotlinked from me, which is a huge NO NO. Every now and then I check my stats and see if anyone has hotlinked. If I discover it then I replace the texture. You would have nothing to worry about if you hosted your own background. I pay for my site and don't appreciate it when people use my bandwidth. There are plenty of free picture hosting sites out there, like Photobucket. Use one of those.
This site is for my own enjoyment. I feel no obligation to anyone. If I keep running into people hotlinking from me then I will take the textures down.
>> How do you make textures? How do you make icons? Will you help me?
I would be happy to answer any specific questions. Like I have said I know Photoshop 7.0 fairly well, but if it relates to another program I might not be the person to ask.
I make textures in different ways. My main technique is that I take digital pictures of interesting textures from all over. Yes I have gotten weird looks from people as I take a picture of an interesting rust stain. I then mess with the pictures in PS, usually combining them and adding filters. Rarely do I add brushes.
I don't consider myself a great icon maker. I generally have a hard time with them. I suggest going to livejournal and looking up icon communities. There are tons of tutorials out there. It is what I do.
A great fanart forum is Creative. Trust me, the people there are really helpful and love to share. We are always on the look out for new members.
>> Do you want to be affliates?
If you have an art site, sure. Just leave a message on the tagboard and I will check out your site. I will then add you to my link section as soon as I get the time. I will try and let you know when I do so.
