I never really have a clear idea of what a piece will look like when I start. For this one all I knew is that I wanted to portray the similarites of Irina and Xhalax. So I picked one of my favorite textures (from krisnreine.com) that I probably use way to often. I desaturated the texture and then picked two pictures of the girls. Both were basically from their first scenes, so I thought it was cool. Plus I loved their expressions.

Anyway I took the pictures and adjusted the brightness/contrast and saturation on them. I then set them to overlay and to make them pop out more I copied the layer on each. I then masked around the edges and moved them until I liked their postions.
